core material of the Program - Modes of the major scale
& complete neck navigation
Welcome to our first stage of the Play Lead Guitar Program!
The core content will focus on using the most common scales/modes of the Major scale. Understanding and applying them effectively while developing the necessary skills to improvise and utilize the guitar to full effect. We will cover the most essential aspects of technique, theory, musicality and application in a way that truly strengthens your core ability as a lead guitarist and gives you all the tools you need to have confidence, express yourself and play at a high level.
In the next stage of the program we will move on to Modes of the Melodic Minor and expand further the core skills established in Stage 1. Beyond that we will continue to explore other Mode-families with increasingly complex and challenging material.
These programs will provide an excellent progression path to any guitarist that want to master lead playing, improvisation and a deep understanding of modes and stylistic development.

Introduction and key points
First of all have a look at this introductory video that establishes the main system and approach we are taking in this program. I made this video show part of the trajectory we are going on and why I have made certain decisions about the fundamentals and aspects that I have given some priority to.
I am covering a few bases here in fairly quick secession but if your inspired by what you see and hear, then you will really get a lot out of these courses. You'll find my approach to teaching very in-depth, targeted and you will get results and keep developing with each step. |
How it will breakdown into different sections
Every other month I will release a new module of the Program. Building on what you have learned before and creating a clear sense of unfolding and building a complete foundation for yourself as a player.
